Capnography for Suspected Diabetic Ketoacidosis. Capnografia e chetoacidosi diabetica
8 Feb“Capnography values greater than 24.5 mmHg accurately allow the exclusion of DKA in ED patients suspected of that diagnosis.”
La capnografia può giocare un rulo fondamentale anche nel paziente diabetico, per escludere la presenza di chetoacidosi diabetica.
Valori superiori a 24,5 mmHg escludono la presenza di chetoacidosi, nel paziente con iperglicemia, con una sensitività e specificità del 90%.
Un altro ottimo motivo per usare la capnografia nel paziente critico.
